Volte Art Projects hosted an unforgettable piano concert as part of Quoz Arts Fest 2022, showcasing the fusion of local musical talent with a hand-sculpted, limited edition baby grand piano by the internationally renowned London-based artist collective, Based Upon. The performance featured Lebanese composer and concert pianist Vladimir Kurumilian, accompanied by singer Lama and contemporary dancers Alex & Mohi, who captivated audiences in the central space of Volte Art Projects’ newly opened 8,000 square foot gallery at Alserkal Avenue, Dubai.

The baby grand piano, titled The Baby, crafted from polyurethane foam, glass fibre, brass, pigmented resin, and liquid metal, served as both a visual and auditory centerpiece, highlighting the intersection of contemporary art, collectible design, and music. The performances at 5pm and 7pm on Sunday, 30th January, were met with widespread acclaim, leaving a lasting impression on visitors.
