CarouseL (LIVE AT BAALBECK INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL)

SINGLE — 2025

A journey that resists closure.
A loop, both lived and remembered.
A path walked time and again.
Familiar, yet unresolved.

“Carousel” is a reflection on the cycles we are born into, and the fragile belief that within repetition lies the possibility of recognition, and the hope of beginning anew.

(un)common grounds

ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK — 2021

(UN)COMMON GROUNDS follows four individuals in their attempt to relive fleeting moments from a past life, a life that once was and can no longer be. One inflection point after another, a new reality has settled while memories still lurk in the empty corridors. Entangled and once again disentangled, these individuals lose grip of what initially brought them together, unable to find a common ground from which to comprehend this new reality. Reveries of the past animate worn-down walls and crumbling foundations as the four dancers slowly descend further and further into a rabbit hole.

Plot twist

EP — 2020

Hopeful yet frantic. Sheltered yet unsafe. We move back and forth across a spectrum of uncertainty in search of harmony and solidity. Life, or what remains of it, holds endless fortunes, fogged by the twists to our narratives that have been redefined to an unfortunate plot we share as one.

In all this turmoil, and during the early solitary days of confinement, "Plot Twist" came to life, or what remains of it. This piano improvisation EP was a coping mechanism, an attempt to escape, while trying to grasp and process the plot twist this year has been.

dopamine

ALBUM — 2018

It all goes back to a rainy Monday two years ago. I was home alone, had just finished a glass of wine, and started jamming all by myself. Later that night, a track came to fruition. I was happy with it. I wanted more. Then I said to myself: What if it wasn’t just a track? What if this was meant to be part of something bigger? Later that year, I met up with my dear friend and Italian composer and pianist Luca Longobardi, who believed in me and offered to produce my album. We recorded in Rome. Rome was beyond inspiring. I went back and spent a hectic year perfecting the tracks. And today, after two years of hard work, two years of building bridges, making new friends, losing some, two hectic years, I’m finally releasing what I consider my most personal project to date, and it wouldn’t have happened without Luca and all the people who helped, put up with my mood swings, doubts and whatnot. To everyone who believes in love, this album is for you. I hope you relate to it and love it as much as I do!

crepuscule

EP — 2011

'Crepuscule' celebrates the transition between Day and Night, it questions the paradox that is Duality: life and death, presence and absence, good and bad, mind and heart. Neither exists if it wasn't for the other.
2011 was one of those turning points where questioning myself helped shape what I have become. At crepuscule, I would ask: what if the sea swallows the sun to give birth to the moon? But then, what happens at dawn?

what was supposed to be a grendizer affair

EP — 2009

In 2009, I had a piano improvisation performance called 'The Nosferatu/Grendizer Affair' at Walimat Wardeh. It was a first-time-collaboration with visual artist Rami El Sabbagh.
Prior to the concert and in order to get Rami acquainted to my music, I recorded some tracks at Tunefork Studios. Needless to say, these tracks, being improvised, never made it to the performance itself. They however later became 'What Was Supposed To Be A Grendizer Affair', a series of short emotional stories.
